How-to video for how to use Cat Aura Tarot Introductory Spread created by acornandburdock.ca

First, give the deck a really good shuffle. I created the deck with cardstock that works great for riffle shuffling for those who love that! So go ahead and give it a really good shuffle.

  • Pull a card at random for each of the first three positions (positions 1 – 3).
  • Next, divide your deck up like this:
    • Separate the majors and set them aside.
    • Then, separate the minors by the chakra that corresponds to the aura on each minor card:
      • Root (red): 9s and 10s
      • Sacral (orange): 7s and 8s
      • Solar Plexus (yellow): 6s and Knights
      • Heart (green): 4s and 5s
      • Throat (blue): 3s and Kings
      • Third Eye (dark purple): 2s and Queens
      • Crown (lavender): Aces and Pages
    • There should be 8 little piles, all facedown: 1 pile of majors, 7 piles of minors.
  • Pull one card from each of the minor piles so that each chakra position has a card from the pile related to that chakra (positions 4 – 10 in the spread). So pull a card from the Root chakra pile and put it on the Root chakra position, a card from the Sacral chakra pile goes on the Sacral card position, and so forth.
  • Finally, pull a card from the majors pile and put it on the important chakra relationship position (position 11). Remember, the majors cards in Chakra Healing Tarot have more than one chakra/aura on them to show you where there is an important relationship between multiple chakras in your energy body!

What the card positions mean

Remember, if you’re not quite sure how to interpret any of the cards, go to the accompanying guidebook that comes with the deck and jot down any insights or key phrases or anything from the guidebook that stands out to you – there’s important wisdom for you in whatever is really popping out for you.

  • Position 1: 1: Benefits I will receive in working with this deck.
  • Position 2: Effort required of me in working with this deck.
  • Position 3: Why this deck has come into my life now.
  • Position 4: A message from the deck about my Root chakra/aura.
  • Position 5: A message from the deck about my Sacral chakra/aura.
  • Position 6: A message from the deck about my Solar Plexus chakra/aura.
  • Position 7: A message from the deck about my Heart chakra/aura.
  • Position 8: A message from the deck about my Throat chakra/aura.
  • Position 9: A message from the deck about my Third Eye chakra/aura.
  • Position 10: A message from the deck about my Crown chakra/aura.

Remember to journal

I always DEFINITELY recommend doing Tarot journaling and journaling about each of the cards! You can jot down your first impressions and insights, your thoughts based on the content in the guidebook and the keywords or phrases that stood out to you.
