Getting Started With Chakra Healing Tarot: A Simple Daily Practice How-To

Many Chakra Healing Tarot backers are completely new to Tarot (WELCOME to the Tarot community!!), and so for some folks, you might feel like you’re not quite sure where to start. 

If you’re not yet ready to get started with the spreads from the guidebook, here is a simple daily practice you can use every day. It’s immediately useful and will help you build your familiarity and confidence with using the deck (and build your trust relationship with yourself!).

Here’s what to do

  1. Every day (ideally closer to the start of your day), set your devices aside, take a few breaths, and shuffle your deck. Then pull a single card and turn it over to see what it is. 
  2. Before you grab the guidebook, take a moment to study the picture on the card. Take in the details, let yourself notice whatever you’re most drawn to. 
  3. Let yourself notice if that brings up any kind of reactions, thoughts, or feelings. Just notice them.
  4. Then, grab the guidebook and flip to the section for that card. Read the full entry for the card, again noticing what stands out most to you. 
  5. Take a moment to reflect on what it means for you. I encourage you to jot down some thoughts in a journal (or in a journaling app, whether typed or voice notes!). Doesn’t have to be long or anything, just take note of your impressions, thoughts, feelings, anything. 

TRUST YOURSELF that whatever is popping up is EXACTLY what you need to know, even if it seems like an arbitrary detail. It’s not arbitrary, it’s there to support you.
