I Created My Dream Pendulum

In this post, I talk about how I created my dream pendulum: a cat pendulum with a cat as the swinging pointer, and chakra beads on the pendulum chain! I also share a story about how I have been able to tap into intuitive wisdom by working with a pendulum.

And here it is! I created my dream pendulum! It’s a happy little cat, with chakra crystals on the chain!

If you’ve followed me for awhile, you know that I love using pendulums in my practice. I use pendulums for energy clearing and resetting (especially for my furry little ones who just LOVE pendulum energy). I also use pendulums for quick, intuitive answers.

In fact, let me tell you a story about that.

Here’s the story

A couple of years ago, when we were still living in a cramped apartment in a very big, very unaffordable city, there was this property that captivated my attention. It didn’t look like much from the outside, but it had a beautiful outdoor space, and, well…just more space in general!

It was on a heavily congested thoroughfare and surrounded by lots of density and highrises, but it seemed so much better than where we were and the very limited options (i.e. non-options) available to us at the time.

We were in a rent-controlled apartment at the time, and living in any other home just seemed so impossible. We wouldn’t even have been able to afford a larger unit in our own building, because those were priced at recent market rates.

But I knew I had limiting beliefs about housing so I kept trying to heal those. One day, I had an idea. I stashed my pendulum in its pouch and took it with me, and headed up to walk past that dream property.

When I got to the property, I pulled out my pendulum and asked if we would ever live there. I expected the pendulum to swing side to side (which for me is a hard no).

Instead, it moved in a way it had never, ever moved before! Instead of forward and backward for “yes” or in a circle for “not at this time”, it swung in a clear diagonal upward toward the left and down to the right.

I stood frozen for a moment, perplexed.

Then I had an idea. I asked if this meant that “there is something better”, and it swung directly forward and backward in a clear “yes”. I headed back home, wondering what that might mean.

Fast forward to last year, when we realized that life in the big city was not actually aligned with what we wanted. We love nature, trails, and a quieter life.

As it turns out, we decided to leave the big city for a smaller city that has access to nature, waterfront, hiking, walking, and is so much more peaceful. And we have more space indoors, and a lovely little backyard! So the pendulum was completely correct.

I share this story because not only was the pendulum correct, but also to show that it’s possible for a pendulum to give you more nuanced answers and surprise you in beautiful ways!

I couldn’t find my dream pendulum

I’ve never found a pendulum like this, where the swinging pointer is the cat, and I really, really wanted to make it happen! So I did just that and created my dream pendulum: a swinging cat pointer and chakra stones on the chain!
