If You’re An Overthinker

A very short post about overthinking.

Not sure who needs to hear this, but to all the “overthinkers” out there – please don’t be hard on yourself for being a so-called overthinker.

If you perceive yourself as someone who needs to stop overthinking (or if others have called you this), it’s likely because you’ve been on the business end of repercussions – from seemingly small to career-impacting – for not paying attention to the smaller details that others may have had the luxury to ignore.

Ask the questions you need to ask (if it’s a genuine question, then it’s valid) or otherwise seek out the information you need, and think through the layers that keep “pinging” in your mind. It’s likely that your lived experience has taught you there is a reason. You’ve got this.

You can find more empowering content like this over here. Or, you can find more leadership and career content over here. If podcasts are more your thing, check out the growing list of podcasts I’ve guested on.
