The Heart chakra is located around your spine, at your heart centre (where your physical heart is located), and is associated with the colour green in the seven-chakra system.
Remember, it’s very common for everyone to have had issues with ALL of their chakras at some point in their life. Which is totally okay, you can help yourself recover from those. To help with that, it’s helpful to understand where some of your key chakra suppressions may be.
Common Heart chakra issues
Common issues related to the Heart chakra are relationships, love, compassion and empathy for self and others.
We have all had our heart broken at some point, and that all gets processed (or stored, if we don’t let it process) in our Heart chakra. Struggling to engage or remain consistently engaged in relationships with others, and discomfort with commitment are common Heart chakra suppressions.
It can also show up as being really self-protective and unwilling to experience compassion or empathy for others. This can also show up as being way too hard on yourself, or not practicing enough self-compassion.
I’ve definitely worked through some of these chakra issues myself, and I’m sure many of you can relate.
