Meet the Writer: Identity

The twelfth in a fifteen-part short series, Meet the Writer. These posts were originally written as part of a #meetthewriter challenge facilitated by author Beth Kempton.

As recently as a couple of months ago, I would have been hesitant to identify as a writer. This is despite my long history of writing, as I outlined briefly the other day in this other post.

All it really took was thinking back to all the writing I’ve done over the years, in so many different ways, and following my intuition which urged me to write, to acknowledge the story of the evidence facing me: I am indeed a writer.

I don’t yet know exactly what my writing will look like or what kind of path it will guide me along, and I also know this is where I need to be, especially when creation and expansiveness are so key to supporting my wellbeing during a challenging time.

You can find more posts on writing craft over here.
