Whatever Arises, Love That by Matt Kahn

Reading Notes includes high-level thoughts on books I think you’ll enjoy.

Whatever Arises, Love That by Matt Kahn (non-fiction)

This book provides a really practical tool for those times when we’re going through tough and newly-arising emotions.

As is the case with many books I read, I don’t entirely agree with everything in the book. After all, I am both open-minded and constructively skeptical, which you can see as a clear undercurrent in all my blog posts. And I always encourage folks to also take a similar approach of open-mindedness and critical thinking.

Having said that, the main tool offered in this book is powerful. It’s about telling raw or otherwise arising emotions in yourself, “I love you. I love you. I love you.”.

Sounds simplistic? It’s actually very powerful, not to mention psychologically smart. And it helps whether you’re interested in learning greater self-acceptance, self-love, forgiveness, if you’re grieving, angry, stressed.

  • Have you ever read this book? What did you think of it?

You can check out this other post for how to use the tool from this book.

I’d love to hear your thoughts. Message me on Instagram to share your thoughts!

I’ll read every single response.

P.S. I’m not being compensated to share this recommendation. Just sharing my thoughts. Always find what works for you.
